Engraved Pavers in the Garden

Help Cultivate a Lasting Legacy in the Betty and Jacob Friedman Holistic Garden at Rice University!

About the Project

The Engraved Paver Project celebrates our vibrant community and supports the ongoing care of the Holistic Garden. Each engraved paver contributes to a meaningful pathway that reflects the connection between gardeners, plants, animals, and the environment.

Why Pavers?

The Garden has become a crown jewel on Rice University’s campus, welcoming hundreds
of people each year. Students, researchers, community volunteers, garden workers, and members of academic clubs, participate in and conduct garden tours, seminars, hands-on workshops, and special events. It is a living laboratory and natural classroom. The engraved pavers sales will help maintain the Garden’s pathways, plantings, and accessible learning spaces so it can continue to inspire and educate people of all ages.

Your engraved paver becomes a personal tribute and helps sustain a space where growth, learning, and community flourish.
